Southern Indiana Paint Supply (SIPS) is a perfect example of a business whose level of service, products, and experience was not being expressed through their website. Their site was busy with unnecessary information, wasn’t optimized for search engines and didn’t provide an appropriate representation of their company.
Multiple boxes compete for the user’s eye and the main box chops information. The colors used don’t convey a very exciting message for a paint supply store and there’s a lot of content being thrown at the viewer right away. For this website, we immediately got to work placing the website into a Content Management System (CMS) with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) supporting design. Mediaura worked closely with SIPS to redesign their website and reinforce their branding into a more aesthetically pleasing and clean design seen below.
We de-cluttered the homepage and used a much more appealing layout and color scheme for the information. Now, the viewer isn’t immediately bombarded with heavy text, but is presented with three important calls-to-action: for Your Home, for Architects & Designers, and for Contractors, to suit their specific needs. This layout is easier to navigate and provides all the necessary information without over doing it.
On the About SIPS page, there was way too much text and the logos were distracting. Nothing about this page draws the viewer in or makes them want to read about the company.
The new design features a timeline with snippets of the information from before. We included all the important aspects of SIPS history in an easy to follow and accessible way. It’s much more streamlined and the search engine optimization quality score is enhanced.

Having a mobile friendly website is extremely important these days. The old website was way too hard to read and navigate.
