TLC For Our Furry Friends In The Community

We didn’t let a little rain stop us for an early morning walk on May 16th at the 21st annual Waggin’ Trail Walk at Waterfront Park in support of our client, the Kentucky Humane Society.

The Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) advocates the humane treatment of companion animals through leadership and proactive solutions to pet overpopulation, including adoptions, education and spay/neuter efforts. Founded in 1884, KHS is the oldest and largest animal welfare agency in the state thanks to private supporters. As the area’s number one resource for pets and pet services, KHS is dedicated to improving the welfare of companion animals. Through adoptions, education programs, and spay/neuter efforts, KHS offers proactive solutions to the pet overpopulation crisis in our area.

As their proud digital partner, we formed a team and set a goal of $500 to help our furry friends get the care they need as they wait for their forever families. To help get us motivated, KHS hosted “Puppy Tails” at our office, to rally the team in preparation for the event and cause. Alisa Oerther, Donor Relations Manager, even brought an adoptable puppy named Roamer with her for the team to play with.

We not only beat our goal, but we also soared above it, raising a total amount of $700. We were thrilled to encourage and inspire our team, our families and our friends to help play a vital role in fundraising for this cause.

In addition to getting a little exercise in, the event provided us and other participants with various activities including live music, food, refreshments and vendor booths. Dogs of all sizes and breeds joined their owners in support of the cause. We enjoyed the morning stroll knowing that we helped hundreds of needy cats and dogs.

The 21st Annual Waggin’ Trail Fundraiser collectively raised over $86,000! The money will go towards pets who are recovering from illnesses or injuries, need training, and are preparing to become the best pets for their future forever homes. Mediaura looks forward to continuing our partnership with KHS for fundraising and digital efforts.
