The Mediaura Director of Operations, Ashley Blakemore, was recently voted onto the American Advertising Federation of Louisville’s 2015-2016 Board of Directors.

The AAF-Louisville (affectionately known in the community as “The AdFed”) supports professional enhancement of all advertising and communications professionals in the Louisville area through informational, educational, social and community programs.

Blakemore has been a member of the AAF for the past 15 years but was limited with his involvement over those years. During this time, he saw the benefits of what the AdFed has done for the community as well as for advertising professionals.

“We have the best talent right here in Louisville and a big part of keeping that talent is because of our AAF,” said Blakemore. “I have had great mentors over the years like John McCafferty who believed in me early in my advertising career and has shown me what a difference you can make by being involved.“

Dawn Geary, our Director of Digital Marketing, was on the Board of Directors for four years and has recently cycled off the board.

“Involvement with AAF-Louisville has been an incredible experience both personally and professionally,” said Geary. “I have thoroughly enjoyed being on the Board of Directors and the Executive Board during my tenure. AAF-Louisville is a fantastic resource for our community, and I’m honored that another member of Mediaura has been invited to take part.”

With members from all areas of advertising-agencies, independent professionals, media firms, marketing and research companies, client companies, trade organizations and community services, the American Advertising Federation of Louisville has been named Club of the Year seven times in the last decade by the overall AAF.

“I am ready to make a difference and am honored to be a member of the 2015-2016 Board of Directors for the AAF,” said Blakemore.
